Schola Cantorum Jubilate was founded in the year 2000 and since then it never looked back. Instead it moved on with its own pace performing during sacred or else secular services. No one can ignore the fact, that it specializes in the sacred polyphony since its main performances are concerned with liturgical services. However, on having a look at its curriculum vitae, one can see its participation during operas and other concerts held outside the church institution.
Interesting is the fact, the Schola Cantorum Jubilate seeks to be innovative and creative in all its performances. It introduced the universal annual Christmas event of 'Carols by Candlelight' in Malta .
Schola Cantorum Jubilate works with commitment and professionalism. It is widely known for its discipline and elegance. It has been a model to other choirs, musicians or other institutions. The Schola Cantorum is a good promoter for cultural events on the island and in representing Malta abroad.
This site presents Schola Cantorum Jubilate which apart from its passion for music, tries to convey a message …a praise of worship or else relaxation of the mind or a cultural gesture to enrich history. Pablo Casals explains it better in his maxim: 'Music must serve a purpose; it must be a part of something larger than itself, a part of humanity...' .
Even Pope Benedict XVI enforces the above by saying: 'The training in singing in a chorus, is not only an exercise of external listening and of the voice; it is also training for interior listening, listening with the heart, an exercise in training for life and for peace'.
