Schola Cantorum Jubilate animated the 11am High Mass at the Basilica of Marija Bambina in Xagħra. It was officiated by Archpriest Mgr. Carmelo Refalo. The choir, accompanied by Jean Noel Attard on the organ performed the ‘Missa Cantate Domino’ by Oltrasi and the hymns: ‘Adeste Fidelis’, Psalm (sung by Stefan Attard), Alleluia and Versetto by Paul Portelli, ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Alma Redemptor Mater’ (Frisina). The Basilica of Xagħra holds the ‘Quarant’Ore’ in this period of the year and at the end of the mass, the Holy Eucharist was transported from the Sacrament Chapel to the main altar. During the short procession the choir performed ‘O Sacrum Convivium’ by Domenico Bartolucci and finally ‘Nadurawk ja Ħobż tas-Sema’.
