Liturgical Services

In occasion of St. Anthony the Abbot feast, the Rector, Fr. John Sultana, invited Schola Cantorum Jubilate to animate a High Mass in the Saint's Chapel in Xagħra. The choir performed the ‘Missa Cantate Domini' by Oltrasi and the hymns: ‘Jesu Rex Admirabilis' (Palestrina), ‘Allelulia' (Taize'), ‘Ecce Panis Angelorum' (Bonicelli), ‘Ave Verum' (Mozart) and finally ‘Innu lil Sant' Anton' (Refalo). This mass was officiated by Mgr. Nicholas Cauchi, Bishop Emeritus of Gozo and started at 6pm. The choir was accompanied by Jacob Portelli on the organ. After the mass, the choir animated also the benediction.
