Poster of the Concert Marouska Attard was invited by Mro. Robert Calleja to perform as soloist in the concert ‘Magnificat' at St. John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta. This concert marked the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day and the collection at the end of the concert was held in aid of the Malta Hospice Movement which works hard to support those suffering from cancer and their families. The concert started at 8pm with the Co-Cathedral packed with local and international music lovers. Marouska Attard interpreted the premier of ‘Inviolata, integra et casta es Maria' composed by Alex Vella Gregory who accompanied the soloist on the Mascioni organ. Ms. Attard interpreted also the soprano part in Vivaldi's ‘Magnificat'. The piece requested also the interventions of an Alto, interpreted by Sandra Scicluna and the choir – The New Choral Singers. It was a programme filled of Marian pieces giving space to classical and even contemporary pieces, just suitable for the month of October which is dedicated to Our Lady of Rosary.
